An Open Space gathering is a new kind of meeting, conference or workshop in which the participants create their own program of self-managed discussion groups, experiential workshops and planning sessions, related to an overarching theme. Open Space allows diverse and often very large groups of people to get together, discuss issues of heartfelt concern, pool their knowledge and develop plans for collaborative action.
開放空間會議是一種新的聚會、研習或舉行工作坊的方式，在一個相當範圍的主題下，由參與者自己設計議題、自發地組成討論團體、進行專題討論和行動規劃。開放空間可以讓相當大的一群有不同想法的人聚在一起，討論人們最關切的主題，凝聚所有人的智慧、並發展共同行動的一些計劃。
Realizing the critical need to involve more people in organizations, many leaders are choosing to use this inclusive large group process to generate critical input to and implementation of strategic plans, as well as unlock potential creativity and energy. These events are being facilitated with companies, government agencies, NGO and volunteer groups, educational institutions (including students) and local communities.
諸多領導者在體認到讓更多人參與組織的迫切需要後，選擇用這個全面性的大團體過程，既能讓員工有貢獻於策略的規劃與執行的機會，且會釋放潛在的創造力和能量。我們已陸續為私人公司、政府機關、非營利組織、志願服務團體、教育單位（包括學生）和社區做過相關的開放空間引導。
On 27-28 September, we will have a two-day Open Space Technology Facilitation Training event.
9/27—9/28，我們將要舉辦一場二天的「如何引導開放空間會議」的訓練：

開放空間科技將會是一個很棒的工具。
This workshop for learning the method brings together those who are new to Open Space and those who have experienced it. It is an opportunity to share your learning and understanding of the method and to prepare yourself for facilitating your own Open Space programs, as well as to connect with the Taiwan Open Space community. You’ll spend these 2 days developing themes, preparing for events, experiencing an Open Space session. Time will be spent in learning how to design an event, prepare hosts or clients, coordinate and facilitate the meeting, and help organizations or communities support the actions and momentum that come out of the Open Space meeting.
參加這個工作坊的朋友，有的已經體驗過開放空間過程、有的則是全然的新鮮人。在課程裡，我們會共同分享對開放空間方法的認識與學習，為引導一場自己的開放空間活動做準備，並加入台灣的開放空間社群。這二天我們將一起練習如何訂定主題、進行活動前的準備、經驗一段開放空間的實際過程演練，我們會學習如何設計和讓開放空間會議的主人或客戶做好前置準備、如何協調引導會議進行，以及協助組織或社區去支持這個會議所凝聚出來的行動能量和氣氛。

Time：9:00 to 5:00 each day, Saturday and Sunday, 27-28 September 2003

Cost：NT$ 5,000 which includes materials and lunch.
NT$ 1,000 for those re-taking the training.
